new timing chain after line bore???

getting ready to assemble the motor and was wondering who has gotten away with the chain they had on the motor before a line bore?? i have not got around to putting it together to see the slack in it yet but was just curious...and those that have had to go to a tighter chain can everyone list some vendors i could order one from if thats what it came down to?? thanks

If you call TA Performance, they have various gear sets from Rollmaster that will take up the slack. They do not tighten it up with a smaller chain; they use a bigger gear.

timing set

my NEW stock sized timing set was just a little sloppy after having the block line bored for billet main caps. went with a modified set from Cloyes.

I have a Rollmaster billet timing set that has .010 oversize gears. I had to use this on the last engine i had built. It has 1000 street miles, very nice.
