hello people; I was just reading about a 2015 Volvo with a 2.o liter engine putting out 300 HP. How there doing it is supercharging it to about 3500 RPM and then a turbo would kick in. It's supercharged and turbo powered combined and the guy writing the pc. says the transition is seemless.
Pretty cool and new to me.

Just read a write up in Hot Rod about a new triple turbo 2.0 engine they're working on capable of 225 hp per liter!!!!
They call it a triple turbo although it uses an electric turbo (isn't that actually a supercharger?) to spool the two Borg Warner parallel turbos!!!

450hp out of 2.0 liters!! Yikes. They say it's for racing applications only though. duh!

Turbocharging is so cool. Turns mice into monsters. Today's engine management systems really make them much more friendly for the masses too.
