My name is Rob, I have just purchased a 1987 grand national, 65k miles on the clock, garett 60 turbo and a old red Armstrong chip ,adjustable waste gate, adj fuel pressure regulator, 3in down pipe ,ss flowmasters.Stock injectors .Thats about all I know about this car. I have pulled a plug it looks good, and it seams to run good and strong ,I have plans to just drive this car ,no racing ,the gas mileage isn't very good about 300mi per tank. What I want is a great running street car ,from what I have gathered on this site, I need a scan tool and or scan master, a chip/ injector combo and some trans work. What will work for me is my question? Thanks .

Hot wire kit and good pump is needed. As far as performance it just depends on your specific goals. Your mileage is better than mine, but I do alot of city driving.

oh,sorry,a hot wire kit and fuel pump was installed by the p.o. ,I just want an upgrade combo from stock.

I would start by ditching stock injectors and getting a set of 60lb'ers with a matching chip from turbotweak. That will clean up the driveablility a lot and give you room to grow later on if need be.

Thank you. So the 60's and a tt chip. Any other combo that will work and be good for street, I looked on the TT site and they have 42# injectors will they be a good choice for a street car? and save a little fuel over the 60's? again sorry for not knowing anything about these cars, just have to start somewhere.
