How are all yall doin. Im new to the message board and just wanted to say "hey". As of right now i have a 81 Z28 Camaro with a 355 that runs 12.5's but gas milage is tearing me up and i have decided to sell it and buy me a Grand National. I know im prolly gonna suffer a learning curve on making a GN run quick right off the bat. I was just woundering was are the first key things you can do to a GN to make them run pretty quick ( mid-high 12's). I know the usually things on the LT1 and LS1 Camaros are air intake, computer tuning, exhaust etc (your simple bolt ons) but like i said im new to the turbo Buick world and i know theres probably different things to do. I would just like recommendations on what performance chip to buy and which cold air intake to go with and what not. I appreciate all of yalls input and im glad to be apart of TurboBuick.com

Welcome!

After some reading on the GN T-Type site, just set this site to show all threads and just read - then do some searches for the question you will have. The search feature works very good, I usually limit the search to the titles only.

Like with most things there are many opinions and mine is that for going well into the 12's, less is better, keep it simple, not hard to go 12's. But then ya start thinking that the difference in cost for the turbo and injectors to go 10's is not that much more than a turbo and injectors to go 12's. There are lots of gadgets out there, they may work, but they do not seem to be necessary to go 12's.

Have Fun

Good tires, good tune, with race gas (or alky) and some timing is the cliff note answer to what you are looking for. Welcome aboard.
