I have 15 miles on a fresh rebuilt trans. The trans shifted perfect for the first 10 miles, lockup and everything. All of a sudden lockup stopped working on the way home from friends shop who built the trans.

T-Link is showing ecm command for lockup
Power is getting to wiring connector on drivers side of trans with a test light.

OHm tested the wire for tcc lockup solinoid....... 22.2 ohms
I tried putting 12v to solnoid wire, and listen for solinoid clicking, but heard nothing

Is this to low of a reading. It is a brand new Delco solinoid
Just trying to fix it myself before I drive it 30miles back to friends shop

The ECM grounds the solenoid connection to force lockup.

Power is supplied at all times via the purple wire that goes through the brake switch.

Does anyone know if the 22.2 ohms is showing a defective solinoid. If I put direct power to the solinoid and ground it, the solinoid should clink on right.??

The manual says solenoid resistance should be over 20 ohms, yours is.

Pin D is ground.
Pin A is +12.

Try it with the connector and factory wiring off directly to the battery with fused jumper leads.

They can still read okay dc ohms and be bad.

if you find the wiring and solenoid are ok ,install the lockup valvewith the springs on the bottom and put the car in gear .if it shuts the engine off the trans is mechanically ok .now go back and check wiring , and make surev the ecms command to ground the solenoid is making it past the harness to the solenoid .www.ckperformance.comsometimes you wont hear the solenoid click but you may see the tach bump or the interior lite dim when juicing up the solenoid with the key on engine off . you can also bench test the solenoid w/ compressed air at the snout and assuring no leakage at the opposite side when energized .

Thanks for the help guys.

It was a defective solinoid, it should be warrenty covered since it was brand new
