'new' transmission, 'used' converter... is that ok?

i got a tranny today that i am going to attempt to rebuild. so when the time comes and it is all done and i go to slap it into the car, will it be ok to use my converter that i have now? it has been restalled to about 2500 thats why i figured i should try and reuse it... should i just drain all the fluid out of it? or what?

As long as your current system is running clean, it's no problem.
