want to get a new turbo for a daily driver. need to be able to run at least a 10.99 . is a 70mm too big . do i need a bb turbo ? what converter would i need to run? would the car still be fun to drive? can i run an internal wastegate with the turbo needed? right now i have the stock intercooler with a big neck, razors, stock heads 60lb injectors stock cam . i love my car and this website.

I just got back from Bradenton that held the street nationals, there was a turbobuick that ran a 10.89, he had a gt6152 turbo,3000 stall, & 60 lb inj

How much boost did he have to run for them times? A 70BB would probably achieve what you want with alot less boost.

turbo

te45a ,te-63-1,or turbonectics t66. all good choices for easy hi 10's.my choice would be the te45a or te67.good luck.
I would up grade to front mount or bigger stock location intercooler to get more cfm to engine and have the heads ported. If you choose to keep everything stock, you will need to run alot of boost with a turbo like the 54 or 61 with 3k stall converter. just my 2 cents.

thanksfor the replies. which of these can i still use my 3 inch postons downpipe and stock type elbow.

Will need heads/cam/converter/turbo/great exhuast. If you want a 10 something with a stock longblock.. you'll need to run 35 PSI boost. And at that level, I dont know if i'd be using a stock style elbow on the turbo.

A set of Champion irons, a small roller cam, 61 turbo, 3200 stall converter, good tuneup and weather.. very doable at 25-27 PSI.
