Hey. I am looking for a boost gauge. What should I get? I am looking for one that doesnt stick out too bad in its placement. Anyone got any good places online to search for a boost gauge? Or pictures of their placement of the boost gauge?

Thanks
Mitch

I mounted my Autometer Z series boost gauge right on the A pillar along with a Caspers knock gauge in a Lotek dual pod

I put my VDO boost gauge in an a-pillar mount painted maroon to match my interior. It's a great place for it since you can watch it and keep your eyes somewhat on the road. Looks factory, well sorta ... :)

I was going to put my knock gauge up there, but I decided I didn't want a green light lit up in my peripheral vision. I think it would get annoying.

Have you seen these? Check out the video: (PLX Devices Inc. - Multi Gauges, Single Gauges, Sensor Modules, Wideband Air Fuel Ratio, Data Logging, Fuel Saving / Scan Tools) The DM-100 IMFD is 2 1/16", will fit into any mount/pod out there. It's also only about 1/2" thick, so you can surface mount it anywhere you want, like they did the DM-5s in the vid(no tubing sticking out the back). You can get a variety of sensor modules(Boost&Vac/Wideband O2/EGT/fluid temp/oil pressure/etc) and monitor 4 parameters at the same time, or just one, with a display style of your choice. They're pricey, but you don't have your whole dash cluttered up with gauges to get whatever data you want. Yeah- I've got 4 to sell:redface: , BUT- they ARE the way to go!

I placed mine to the right of the rear defroster button set into the dash. It's pretty low profile, the only problem is it's hard to see because it's not in your direct line of sight.

Mine sits in a single gauge pod mounted as low as possible on the pillar... some like them higher, but I wanted mine as low-key as I could get away with.
