I am trying to finally buy me a GN and need an expert opinion of what it's worth (ballpark). I think it will look sweet in my garage next to the 1994 Impala SS. Here's the info

1986 Grand National, ~20K original miles, interior very good (missing trim piece on end of passenger door pull handle) but headliner starting to sag in places, t-tops, manual windows (possibly specially ordered), pwr door locks, posi (G80?), passenger door mirror was accidently knocked off and needs to be reinstalled, paint on bumpers a little "hazy". Appears to be all original parts so I'm guessing some items would need to be replaced simply due to age.

Can someone take a stab at what a fair price range for this car would be? I realize I can probably get similar performance from a non GN turbo Buick but I'm willing to pay extra for the name. TIA.

That buyer's guide is helpful but I still don't have a good feel for price ranges. Anyone know where that info may be obtained?

Alot depends on where you live & if you plan on buying local.

You can get ideas from

https://www.kirbanperformance.com/index_turboregal.htm
www.ebay.com (tends to be high & not all sales go through)
Here in the For sale section.
Hemmings motor news, Your local want ads.

Ultra Low mile GN's 0 miles to 5k = in mid to high $20's range
Semi Ultra low miles 5k to 15k = in high teens
low miles 20 to 35k = in mid teens
so on down the line. REMEMBER MY FACTS HERE ARE NOT GOSPEL.

Are you planning on stock or Modded one ?
That can have a bearing on cost too..
Some guys have sunk lots O cash into their GN's

For the car described in my original post the person wants $17K which is line with your descriptions. Thanks for the info.

Robert you could always ask a board member to come out & look the car over with you.

be carfull these cars can roll over 100k & still look to be in very decent shape.

I suggest getting the vin & asking turboscott to run insurance records on the VIN
