What I dont get is, why bother with a dry water bed. Personally I would explore those shapes or structures aka face and pyramid. That right there could change our entire perspective on things, or re enforce our current ones.

Bottom line is ,Mars at one point had water and now it doesn't.
Whats cause that? Did something that happened there that could happened here and have the same effect?

Probably an asteroid or big meteor like the one that hit Earth and killed off the dynosaurs/life. Only we must not have been hit as hard. Just my little theory
