I believe the same as the 42s. I have them in my GN, mostly stock, and thought they would be too cold but have had no problems at all. I have ran up to 22 lb boost on a stock turbo. Over that, which is pointless for me, I can not comment.

TurboJoeV6, Joe Reif, has done some dyno comparisons with these plugs with good results. May be able to find that on a search or contact him....OK, just found the post info I saved in a word file from a post on gnttype. I'll email it to you. Tim

thanks Tim. that was an interesting article and it sure convinced me to get the UR5's. So what store sells these? I only got a Pep Boys around my area.

I went to Pep Boys today to get the NGK's. THey have them. So I told the guy I wanted UR5's. He said the only start with B. Did I say the wrong number? Or am I supposed to say BUR5's?

I looked at all the NGK plugs at pep boys and they all started with a letter such as A, B, C, or D and then the part number:confused:

Pep boys here in N.Y didnt carry them either . I found them a West marine here dont know if you have that in Jersey but .....

Yes it's true, I picked up an honest 16 HP at the rear wheels by just switching from the CR42TS to the UR5's! Not to mention when tested in a spark plug tester, the NGK's had an almost 99% success rate over the AC's. The AC's spark almost always blew out or were sparking all over the plug itself when placed under very high pressures??? Out of a total of 12 AC's, only 3 passed the test. Out of the same amount of NGK's, I think only 1 failed....all test were done at the same gap and in a controlled environment. I put a set in my TTA and noticed an immediate improvement in idle and off idle acceleration. And to answer your question, the UR5's are the same heat range as the CR42's.

Went to pep boys again and asked for the UR5's. Also said the part number 2771. They said they don't normally stock those plugs so I had to do a special order. Plugs were $3.65 each:eek: ! Is that the normal price you pay for those plugs?

call summit $2.49 each plus free shipping and in stock just ordered 12 tx#1-800-230-3030

My brother had ordered 24 of them yesterday using the 2771 part # from Advanced Auto Parts for $1.39 each ! We picked them up today.
