Hey guys, I have a N/A setup I am building but will be supplying the engine with fair amounts of nitrous. I know this is not a "turbo" related question, but what suggestions do you guys have for me. Here is my setup:

109 block
8445 heads
KB single plane intake
turbo crank
stock rods, polished side beams
speed pro forged pistons (any opinions on these)

I was just wondering what kind of spray levels or overall horsepower levels would be safe on these components. Also, are ARP rod bolts required-I have heard the stock bolts are pretty good. What about main bolts/studs/caps? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'd probably at least put arp rod bolts in. It depends on how fast you want to go. I'd say you could spray 150 with a basically stock shortblock properly tuned, but anything beyond that would be really risky. Normally I wouldn't say a v6 motor could take that much, but buick v-6 motors are built pretty tough.

even though this won't be turbo'd?? is it just because all the torque associated with adding nitrous becuase the hp levels will not be all that much more that a lot of turbo cars with added boost?? thanks.

Boost from a turbo is much more forgiving on a motor compared to the shock of a n2o hit.
