no battery power at all

i was in the middle of converting to vacuum brakes,and when i was about done i went to turn on the radio,and i noticed the dome light was not on and i had no power.
could i of done something to the wiring around the steering column while i was installing the brake pedal and vacuum booster?
i know battery was good because i drove the car for a minute before i started the conversion.
