It looks like it happens when i have been driving around for a bit, car warmed up . when I'm coming to a complete stop .. Then when I begging to accelerate that's when it happens . It seems to just rev up slow like it didn't down shift to 1st gear and it stayed in 2nd gear ?
I have tried shifting it into PARK when I come to a stop and that seem to shift it back to 1st and it automatically goes thru each gear like normal . Any help would be great

Could be a bad TCC solenoid. Unplug the 4 pin connector on the driver side of the trans to rule it out.

Do I disconnect it and drive around and see if it stops from doing what's it's doing or should I drive around first then disconnect the TCC solenoid when it acts up again ?

Thanks

Not sure if it matters but I'd disconnect it first and drive it around to see if that fixes it.

You are getting second gear starts. Usually happens when line pressure is too high at idle. Make sure your TV cable is in the factory position and/or reset it to factory position. Shifting to neutral then back to drive will allow it to start in first again. You may need to check the line pressure if the TV adjustment doesn't fix it.

Ok I will check the TV Cable and adjust it to factory position . The other day coming home from the Bates Carshow I got off the freeway to get a bit to eat and it started to act up again not going into first and I tried putting it neutral or even park and it still wouldn't fix it . But when I got off the car to eat for a few minutes and got back on it wasn't doing it anymore . It was fine ? Annoying !

Do you have a transmission aux cooler installed? The 200-4R will not operate correctly when they get very hot, then they eventually fail.

Yes i do have an aluminum aux cooler installed . Installed it about 2 years ago . Have it behind my FMIC . Maybe not enough air? But i wonder why it would do it when I'm in traffic then if I turn it off the car for a few minutes it goes away but 1st GEAR eventually acts up again ? Other than that all other gears pull like a freight train

Other times, when i come to a compete stop ... The engine starts to rev up then the tranny gets a lil thump then it jumps into gear . I think the thumps comes in around 1,200 rpm? Not like a hard gear switch but a lil thump in the tranny like it engaged into 1st GEAR ?

That is your issue, you are cooking your transmission. An aux cooler without the rad cools 40%-50% of what the rad will do by itself depending on cooler used. So you need a min of 2 coolers to make up for the radiator. We add an aux to the rad to make up for the extra heat as the rad is marginal cooling for anything but a completely stock car. And I mean marginal. Get the rad hooked up and I suspect the problem will be fixed, but damage may have been done. Make sure you have a LPD cooler and not a tube and fin.
