No IAC or CC in Scanmaster 2.1

Just hooked mine up.

I get no IAC numbers or cross counts.......it jumps straight from TPS to PL. It skips both IAC and cross counts.

Chip is a TT WB chip for a direct scan. I don't have the DS hooked up......as I don't have a win 98 laptop anymore....... got a PL but haven't hooked it up yet.... I will have to change my chip out to my new 80# chip....and injectors....and then install the PL......so in the meantime......I'd like to troubleshoot with my new scanmaster......

Car hasn't run in several years....just put in different motor and all.....and it is idling real high......backed off throttle screw.....but still idling at 1350RPM.....suspect IAC is stuck open maybe? ..... but can't see IAC values to confirm......

sounds like the chip has an older version of the high speed datastream.

You either need to have the chip redone, or install the PL.

10-4 Bob...... It is probably an earlier version of his wideband chip. I have the new chip....just need to drop it in with the 80's and I can hook the PL up.

Anyway...fixed the idling issue...the IAC motor was froze up.....I worked the piston back and forth a little and it seems to work right now. I had to bump the idle screw way up and readjust the TPS......car runs good once again.....pretty much been down since 2006.....can't wait to put some miles on it.....

LOL.... it's been awhile. Now that it's running I have about 50 smaller things that need doing..... new plugs (I think these were in the motor when it went to Reynolds in 2010....LOL)...... re-adjust the valves........install new high z 80's....new chip...... PL........fresh fuel............ the list goes on....

My inspection sticker expired in 2006..... :-( Got to get a new one of those....

Needs a external gate setup.... and a 2-step....

It will take a little while....
