before I pull the unit and change the torque converter what can I check with the valve body I have allready changed the solenoid, the lockup valve is not stuck I did have the pump out before I put the trans in and changed the stator support I have had the valve body out too what if I was missing a checkball or used the wrong gaskets or sep plate

Tagging along. I have the same issue. I jumped the tcc solenoid out and solenoid works fine, but still no lockup.

converter has been sitting for 10years with fluid in it it worked on the t-type this is an older car 1 wire 4th gear lockup I even tried 12v through a switch and ground wire to the valve body I know there is an early plate 81-83 what about gaskets if I remember right there are early gaskets too I'm going to drop the valve body and try one more time before changing the converter
