I started to install my PAC kit last night. Everything is right with the kit.
I do have some questions. Julio, maybe you can help.

1) Where do I mount the small overflow tank? can't find any directions or suggestions.

2) Is it alright to mount the pump in the opening in the passenger fender behind the battery. It's a tight squeeze but I got it mounted with no clearance issues. Just had to make one bracket out of flat strap. I can always move it if there is a reason I shouldn't put it there.

3) My car didn't have a map sensor. The plug is just laying in the car where the map sensor should be. I never noticed it was not there. I'm guessing I should just hook up the one that came in the kit per the instructions and be done. But I'm confused as to why I've never had any issues with not having one in the first place. No codes or anything.

Grateful for any help.

1) Small overflow can go anywhere you like. The easy place is in front of the battery. Using the supplied black hose, its an exact fit.. cap facing radiator.

2) Pump goes on bumper bracket. The length of hose from tank to pump is precut for that location. If you mount tank, then attach hose to tank.. then feed hose through hole in core support.. you'll see what I mean.

3)MAP sensor is only used for factory boost guage. On digital dash cars, plug will be there but nothing connected to it or its wiring. It is not anyway connected the to computer in the car and serves no purpose other than to illuminate LED's on factory analog dash boost guages. If you have a digital dash, then follow wiring procedure to add 5 volts to the gray wire on MAP plug and add ground to the black wire on MAP plug.
One way I recently have been doing this is behind the glove box the wires are there on a black and clear multi-wire plug. You can use an ohmeter to find the wires, and then source 5volts from the gray TPS 5volt wire on ECM. If your more wiring challenged, use the top wire on TPS(gray) and splice into it soldering the wire. These connections are critical and should all be soldered.. No MAP=No Alky=bad things

PS, there is a new manual as of a couple weeks that now features pictures. Email me at idoxlr8_70@yahoo.com and i'll get it to you when I stop by the shop latter this week..

Thank you for the quick response. Your service is flawless.

My car came with an aftermarket trans cooler mounted right where you suggest to put it. The secondary location is in the way of my front mount intercooler pipes. Would it hurt anything to leave it behind the fender? I can make a blockoff panel to hide the pump and run the hoses through grommets. If it will harm the install, I will move it but if not, I think I'll try it where it is. If I have to move my trans cooler I will.

Thanks again.

I cant see how you would have a cooler there as air would not be able and get through it.

May be easier to move the cooler in front of the radiator or underneath the car, where air can get through it.. then mount pump on bumper bracket bolts.

Julio, lots of GN guys mount it there then put a small fan on it...seems to work great. sorry to hijack

Yup.. but that underneath the car. Not behind the bumper. Unless your removing the bumper fillers to create an air duct.
