no more (kick)

ok fellas heres is the thing i got my 86 t has been in the tranny shop and just for the tranny went out i notced from a roll the car doesn't (kick) you know throw me into the trunk hehe. i adjusted the tv cable and all and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on why it does this. maybe not down shifting or anything else??? i am up in the air with this one earlier i came out soft and it shifted into second then i let off for a second and then punched it there was no kick at all it took a minute to get going. any idea???

so its not kicking down to first? these cars have electronic kick-downs so to speak right?

Could be the TV cable is not tight enough, but here's a couple of thoughts.......

What kind of shift kit? A year ago I had a JW shift kit given to me and similar symptoms appeared after it was installed. The gas pedal was mushy, literally closer to the floor. Performance was really off....by luck a friend of mine told me he had the same problem. It was the spring that connects to the the check ball was way too tight , the one that came with the kit! He said he swithched his back to the stock spring and check ball setup and it was better....

Of course, it's a pain in the rear to do this. Dosen't it really suck when you get a repair done and the car comes back slower?I have been through this......

Also, who rebuilt the trans? The first time I had mine done I took it to the closest local shop.....two years later I was sorry I didn't take more time looking. These cars have special needs in this department. I found a guy with some real knowledge to do the work and I am real happy with it.....
