No oil in trans cooler lines - help!

I had my transmission rebuilt and have driven the car a few times and it seems to work great. However, when I went to install an AutoMeter 2287 temp block in the line at the radiator, no oil came out when I cut the line. It was bone dry. I didn't think these needed to be bled. Any ideas?

Fluid may have just drained back to pan. Put a piece of hose on line, run to a bucket & start engine to see if you have flow.
