Didn't think I'd ever ask a question like this, but....

What should a car realistically run with the following parameters?

3500# car
268 wheel horsepower @ 6200rpm
248 torque @ 5000rpm
front wheel drive, with traction control (that can be turned off)
5 spd auto
axle ratio 4.31

Motor Trend or one of those rags claimed the one they tested ran 14.20@102
Does that sound realistic.

I dare not actually take it to the track, lest I be shot dead!!

MPH seems high or the car weighs less.

Unless that is with driver... which I guess could be possible.

Assuming they can get all the power to the track, 260 average whp and 3650 lbs going down the track would be a 14.02. So 14.2 sounds realistic with a little loss in traction, and 102 mph if it's an aerodynamic car sounds ok (a Regal at 14.2 would average about 96-97 mph).

Ya, pretty aerodynamic. I'm refering to the Accord. I think, and this is only speculation on my part, but I think the reason for the top end charge is the HP rating. I've only had mine WOT a few times, but it's amazing how the car keeps pulling REAL hard all the way up to over 6500 rpm. It just never seems to run out of steam.

Dave is it like this when you go WOT

That sounds about right to me

The numbers are very similar to a late (91-92) L98 powered f body, and those generally run about those same exact times.
They have way more torque, a little less hp, and less gear and weigh about the same or slightly less
