im thinking of adding my nos kit to my car and setting it up with hob switch to turn the nos off when boost hits a certain level..

i want to try it to see how much spoolup i can get out the car without having to load up on it for high boost lauched...im looking to set it up so i can bring the car out at 0 boost

will it really hit boost instantly like i've heard??

i've run plenty of nos before but never in a turbo car

any suggestions for this set up? im thinking i can leave the timing and stuff alone since it will only be used out the hole till boost is up.

im thinking about shutting it off around 13 # boost so what do you guys have to add to my thoughts?

Do you remember how NOS made a difference on your n/a car?
It reved right NOW right?
Just about the same on a turbo car. When the NOS hits, you have boost. Better have some good tires.
I was using a 100 hp setup with a 98% factory original car. Bosch in line Fuel Pump, K&N and a NOS Chip back in 1989.

what jets are you running for 100 shot?

im use to big nos systems 250+ hp kits so not real sure how this lil shot will help but guess i'll find out..:)

For spool up all you should need is a 50 shot. Turn the system off at 10# - 15# and away you go. It makes it much easier to cut a good light if you don't have to worry about boost.

#44 fuel and #50 for NOS is about 100 hp, are so NOS tech said.
There is another thread on here about jet sizes.
This increased my boost about 5-6# from where the turbo along would take the boost.
The chip I was using had the timing retarded about 4 degrees and I was using a prom pack where I could switch chips on the go. The NOS chip definitely made a noticable difference in the sound of the engine. Now for the unusal part. I was able to run a total of 22-23# of boost (NOS & turbo) on 93 octane gas with a max of 1-2 degrees of knock. Sometimes no knock at all.

Did you spray the whole pass or only out of the hole?
What sort of gain did you see?

starting to get some good info coming now...thanks for all advice.

no way i'll be able to spray and boost same time since i'll run outta fuel for sure with my single walbro 340 trying to feed 75# injectors and the nos system but who knows if it'll keep up ill keep in it....no such thing as too fast..:D

Out of the hole & whole track. The car was a low mileage (15,000) mostly original stock except for chip, second FP & K&N.
Without NOS the best was low 13's (13.2 to 13.4) around 101-103 with 1.8/60 ft. on M/H dots.
With NOS, 12.4-12.6 at 110-112 with the car barking second when it shifted going down the track.
Remember this is through the stock muffler system.
Never tried full slicks but wished that I did now.
