I was feeling a little more creative than mechanical today so I let the kids play in the backyard while I played with the Dremel tool. It was touch and go at first, 30,000 rpm's can run away from you sometimes. But for my first session it turned out surprisingly well. Man oh man does the small file on the points of the letters make a sound that cuts you to your bone. My kids were 15 yards away holding their ears saying, "daddy, I don't like that noise!!" Yeah, niether did I, lol.

Another 2 hours or so with a few files and I should be able to Git R' Done.

Looks great for a Dremel tool. You're right about those things "getting away from you", almost slashed my finger the other night while using the cutoff disc.

I'm not done, but I got through the touchy part without ruining it, so that's good. I burnt my finger quite nicely though, my fingertip was touching the collar and even with safety glasses I took a few to the eye.

I figured, worst case scenario I would have had a machine shop Flo-jet it out on flat steel, cut out the whole panel, and then weld it back together. So it's nice to avoid having to send more work out.
