Not downshifting into 1st.

Ok I finally got my car to shift after having it rebuilt. The idiots didn't put any check balls in the valve body.DUMBA$$ SHOP! Now the only problem I am having now is that it will not downshift into fisrt when I come to a stop. I can put in first manually. Also when I am stopped I can shift it from 1st to 2nd without moving and I can feel it change gears. Any opinions? I think it has to do with something in the valvebody but not sure.

Did they put in a new tcc solenoid. When mine went bad the downshift to 1st was erratic. Just a thought??

I put a new one in last year. But it could be bad. Any other suggestions?

If not the tcc sticking I'd say they got the band to tight?

If the band is too tight, would or could that cause a slip in reverse?

everything is working good except that it doesn' downshift into first.

Are you having second gear starts in OD? What is your line pressure in OD with the TV cable hooked and unhooked at 1000
RPM?
