9:o But it's ALL my fault!:o
If you're not ready to race don't race! I wasn't.
Filled up the tank 50/50 and left for the track, played and tried to dial it in on the way:rolleyes:
Got to the track sort of late and changed tires, ran with 22psi in the QTP's (I was feeling lazy so I didn't want to change back before I left so I left a lot of air in the tires).
1st pass pump speed MAX and turn on point? as it came. 20 psi boost
60 ft 2.1 BAD bog!
12.28&113.94:( slowest car has Ever went!
A couple other GN guys were there with Bobby Mason that had alky, Wayne I think was his name took a look :o at my alky setting and turned my pump speed down to 7.5 and raised the turn on point a bit.
Raised boost to 22.
60ft 2.05 bogged then spun
11.96@119.85 hit rev limmiter in 2nd too:o
I will have my s*@* together next time out!

Steve (of SMC) once told me to use a 70-30 mix. You might try that as a starting piont. Where is your activation point? Rule of thumb is 2# before you normally get knock.

Are you running dual nozzles? That's a lot of volume. Problem with turning the pump speed down to correct that is loss of atomization.

You prolly doused the spark, when you got the bogg off the line.

Atomization is the most important. Start with 100% denatured, and full pump speed. Then play with the activation point, and pump speed.

I don't think you will make a 50-50 mix work at full pump speed with the SMC kit. The nozzles are too big. Of course I could be wrong, I often am.

I use 50/50 with my single nozzle kit. I think the key is a high turn on point. Mine is between 15-16 psi. I dont see how these guys with 10psi turn on points can avoid bogging with a single nozzle. Just make sure your pump is primed by hitting the test button when you first get in your car. Then you are good to go

Yes mine is the single nozzle kit.
I guess it will just take some time.

wish i could have made it but by time i got my job finished it was too late for me to head that way..traffic from here to there sucks on friday's.

i said id let you know...i plan to take mine to richmond the next tnt friday which is not this coming friday but the next..i'll post in the southeast section about it once i know for sure that the cars running ok..

i will be looking to hit 130 if the walbro can hang.

im thinking about putting my nos kit on it for the holeshot..:D but not sure on that one yet.

A lesson I learned is never rush things to get to the track. It just turns into a huge mess, and things never go right which is very frustrating.

But according to your sig it looks like you bested your best MPH, so it looks like you picked up some power?

Yes I was in a big rush so I can't blame the kit for my screw up:o
I will try to go next weekend on 22 psi but with race gas instead
and "play" with the alky on the street until it is dialed in better.

I may have had a bad night but on my 2nd pass I ran a yellow 4.6 gt that ran a 16.1!:D

There were 6 or 7 other GN's there friday night and a nice T-type too.
