So I email asking for a photo and he says "Serious buyers come and look in person."

i see nothing wrong with that ad- the guy is old school and knows that he could just put up a pic of any old TA and claim it's his, so he just tells you to come and look at it in person. really, this is no different than seeing a classified ad in your local paper.
or maybe he doesn't have a digital camera and doesn't know how to take and upload pics to CL..

sounds like a pretty nice car from the parts description- but 4.56 gears would be a bit much for a torquey Poncho motor unless it was built for 1/8 mile drag racing or something.

He sends me 2 other photos of cars he sold in the past, But he cant supply one of the current car he is selling.

His ad sounds defensive to me.

What if you lived 150 miles away wasting gas & drive time 1.5 hrs each way to go see it & it turns out to be a turd.

I agree with little 6pack; photos are a must if you are going to advertise on the internet. This isn't 1997 anymore. Even walmart can make a disc of pictures from a disposable camera to upload pics to the net.

He would not even tell me the color even though a bandit is usually Black

There is no serious buyer in this day and age. We know that from me trying to sell my limited & I forked over tons of photos & videos to people.

You just dont know who is anymore. times changed.. I got 14.5k for my GN in 3 weeks Go figure.

Just a little ball bustin! I too think pics are important.

By the way, the 78 ta had a diamond shaped grill and the 77 had a honeycomb shaped grill. Old ta's were a passion of mine for a long time.
