Ok I've lived here since last October and haven't seen a single TR or TTA, or met anyone that really knew anything about them. Point being, I know there are atleast 4 or 5 of us around here. Let's all figure out a time to get together and cruise, bs, bar, whatever..

NWARKY, my self, GNGSX are the only 3 I can remember right now but I know there is atleast 1 or 2 others. Post here and let's figure something out!

Shawn in Benton here...

Anybody want to come down and help me drop in my new engine ;)

j/k...hopefully I'll have it running in the next 1-2 weeks. I plan on hitting Centerville and Prescott several times this year.

Awesome, I just sent out the MO for my new injectors and chip yesterday so mine will be in kill mode soon, will definently go to Centerville, might need some help tuning though. Hey, we pulled the engine in my car and put another in so if you have any q's, I'll try to help. Ever come up this direction?

Hey guys, I'm in Russellville. I work in Maumelle. I've got 5 other buddy's here in LR that have TRs. We all try to run on Saturday nights at Centerville as much as possible. Unfortunately several of us are down right now. I've got to change head gaskets, and two others are installing new engines this week. I come to Fayettenam every other weekend with my daughter. I'd be game for Centerville or NWA. Cya

I used to come up that way some when my cousin lived up there. He and his wife moved to Conway so I don't get up that direction any more.

I'm up for a get together sometime, but my GN is down for awhile with a spun rod bearing. I go down to Fayetteville quite often. I've only seen two other GN's in the three years I've lived here. I go racing at MOKAN north of Joplin, MO and I usually run into a fellow GN owner up there. Let me know if you want to set something up.

Cool

I'm here and I'm ready for a get together. Any of you going to BG for the nationals next week? I never ever see any TR'S around here.

I'm from the south

where is centerville again?
tracks I know: 1) prescott (1000ft) (AR)
2) red river (1325ft) very,very nice! (La)
3) twin city drags (1325) so-so (La)

Centerville

Take HWY 7 South from Russellville through Dardanelle about 8 miles into Centerville. Turn right on HWY 154 go about 2 miles and you'll see it on the right. Its a nice track, only 1000 ft., but they run on Sat. nights and Sunday.

Get together

Let me know when ya all are gonna be at Centerville and I'll do my best to be there. I live in Clarksville.

Is this Jerry Turner in Clarksville?

Yes, its me Trent. How's it going Jerry? My car is down right now. I rebuilt the engine, added a few goodies, and popped a head gasket. I used the Felpro 1000's and I would never use them again. I never had the boost over 15 lbs, but I was tuning it with my Maxeffort and it got lean 1 time and popped a gasket. I changed it and not more than a week later it popped the other side. I'm going to use the RJC stacked steel set this time. I've got them sitting in the garage, just haven't gotten off my lazy rear end to fix it. I'm in Clarksville all the time since my gfriend lives there. I'll stop by and see ya soon. Take care.

Hey Trent,

Good to hear from you, get that rascal fixed and do some racin'. I haven't been to the track this year, seems everytime I plan on going, something comes up to mess my weekend up...mainly work!

I changed back to the stock 3:42 gears this last weekend, don't know what that'll do to my et. In a full quarter the stockers may work better but for a 1000' track I believe the 4:11's with 28" tires may have worked better??

Last year I was able to coax a 9.97 @104.83 out of my car spinning the slicks a little midway thru first, also got my best (so far) 60' time of 1.67 on that run launching at 4-6 #'s, and finishing the run with 21#'s showing on TL. I have a set of airbags to install which should hopefully help the 60' factor a little. It was the only run that I made that I didn't get a backfire/pop from having the cam sensor installed a few degrees off.

Hope to do a little better this year as I "think" I may have a better handle on the tuning. I better have a handle on the tune, cause I intend to lean on it pretty hard this year.

I feel for ya on the head gaskets cause I shore have replaced/blown my share of em. I now run a single steel shim using clear Permatex as per LC. Plus I used ARP head studs this time, so I'm hoping I can forget about the gasket problem(s) for a while.

How do you like the 9/11? Right now I have a 10.5" non l/u (32-3400 stall) and I really like it, and it's very streetable but I'm going to be on the hunt for a lockup soon.

How's your Dad doing, I haven't seen or heard from him in a while? Your welcome to stop by anytime I still love to talk turbo Regals just as well today as I did 16 years ago when I bought mine. Be good to see you again.

Later,
Jerry

Jerry,
Sounds like your almost there with your car. I have done the same on the heads using studs this time. I spent three months porting my heads, bought Ferea SS valves and had John Force's group over in Russellville do the valve job and cut for the larger valves. I ported the intake to match and had my TB cut to 62mm by Jay Jackson. I went with forged pistons (.030) and a 214-208 cam. I ran a best of 9.701 @ 104 last year on the stock motor with only a TE-60 and 50#ers. I'm hoping to push into the lower 9's this year. Traction has been limited for me too. My 60 ft. times are right where you are at 1.65-1.69. The 9/11 is awesome. Those 60's are leaving with 0-1psi boost because of poor brake holding. I've also since installed an adjustable proportioning valve so I can hopefully hit it a little harder out of the hole. We just got back from the Nationals at Bowling Green. It was a good show. Hope to see ya soon. I'll try and stop by this week sometime and shoot the B/S lol. Cya
