i'm going to weld in an o2 bung for my wideband. i'm planning to put the bung either in the test pipe or right after it in the exhaust. the bung that i have is flat on both sides. should i carve out one side that will go against the pipe? i don't see any other way to weld a flat bung on a round pipe.

anyone do a similar installation?

your wideband sensor should be in the downpipe 8-10 inches from the turbo. If there is a large gap at the sides than yeah carving it out wont hurt thats for sure. are you MIG or TIG welding it on?

When I did mine I used a Unibit and drilled a hole at the end of the downpipe maybe 3" from the end. Then I just had a muffler shop weld it. I put mine in the 2 o'clock position on the framerail side. Havent had any problems.
