Yep...I remember the episode or movie. Kitt didn't know they made him into a convertible and kept asking what the white "C" button on the dash was. Finally at the end they press it and voila, fadeout to Kitt with a top down. They didn't show any retract or anything.

I'd drive that car around.

If you think the conv Kitt is neat,,,I saw a covertible 87 GN several years ago at Bowling Green. The owner said it was the only one made because the conversion was $8500 way too $$$.

I used to go cruising in a Firebird that had the same conversion. It had a fiberglass roof that folded into the area that the rear seats used to be. We used to call it the Batmobile. The only problem was it wouldn't get out of its own way.
