So what are some of the strange mishap moments that come to mind when thinking about times had in your TR's? I'll start with one from each of mine.....
I knew i shouldn't take my tutone blue 84 T coupe out in falling snow, but the roads by the house weren't bad so I headed to a friend's house. As I went down the county road that way, the unplowed 1"+ of snow suddenly iced in a spot and she swapped ends!
So now I'm going backward at an angle to the road at over 50mph thru a farmyard! I look in the rearview and am headed straight for the utility pole that feeds his barn
and strange enough, when I turned the wheel I drove right around the pole!
SO, I cranked the wheel, spun it to head toward the road again and kept going. PWHEW...! Heart in throat moment for sure.
Once while driving from one local town to another in my black over pewter 83 T, a new Taurus SHO came up behind me. He came around at over 90 by my guess, then slowed right ahead of me, so I took up with him. Well there's no way to put the T-Tops back in at speed so, well... A few miles down the road, and Well in excess of the 85mph speedo I figured I could take him and pulled out for the pass. It was then I discovered the rusted A-piller header as my windshield snapped from center cowl to both upper sides under the full force of the wind
What've you got?
