No, not my car, thankfully, but my dads.
91 Roadmaster Estate Wagon.

The old motor finally gave up, and they got a newer one put in just a few days ago.

The car then had some problems with the brakes, and he took it back, and they replaced some ABS stuff.

Recently driving it, it revved up when you hit the brakes, the ABS doesnt work, and I told him to take it back.

Well, he didnt take it back soon enough. While my sister was driving it the other day a kid in a new car stopped in front of her, and she rear-ended her hard. The whole front of the car is totalled, grille lights, bumper, fenders, etc. At first the brakes didnt work, then they locked solid.

Question is, is the shop that did the work at fault, and can they be made to pay part of the cost to fix the car? My family has had a history of being taken advantage of by local shops doing shoddy work. The last time something happened, a local Midas messed up a brake job which nearly got my mom and sister killed when the caravan locked up one tire and ended up on its top.

Is there any way to prove that the shop was at fault, and to make them fix it or at least pay to fix some of it? It is on the verge of a total loss, with estimates being 2.5-3k. And does anyone know a good place to get the body parts?

Why would your Dad let your sister drive a 4,600lb wagon with no brakes? Since they did the work I would say PART of the blame goes to them, but they have a strong argument since you knew the brakes were bad and chose to drive it anyway. Unless you say she was on her way back to the shop. I think it's time you pick a good shop for your folks, even if Dad has to spend a little more money to get the repairs done correctly.

Go to the Impala SS Forum and check for body parts. They are big into the wagons also, so you should be able to locate all your parts there.

btw, is it a Woodgrain wagon or wood delete? What color? I have a '93 Roadmaster Wagon that I love but the thought of trying to stop her with no brakes scares the crap out of me. Get it fixed, lower it and tint the windows
