Here in San Diego Calif. and several surrounding suburbs where even just watching street racing as a bystander is now punishable by jail time, they are at least providing some alternatives.

ive been trying to get a race a cop program started up around here but basically every cheif i talk to pretty much laughs in my face so until then ill be running at the industrial parks out side of town

I don't know where "up around here" is, but why don't you try giving the http://racelegal.com/ website address to your local police chiefs and suggest that they take a look at what's being done here?

Maybe they would be inspired to give it more serious thought to see if they could do it in your area. I think it's worth a try, don't you? What could it hurt?
