looking at some wheels. they are 8.5" and 9.5". it says the offset is +35mm. anybody know the approx back space? thanks
 
Well 35mm is approx 1.4in. So if it is a 9.5 in rim the center line would be at 4.75in. Now you move that forward the 1.4in and that puts it at 3.35, subtract that from 9.5in and it gives you 6.15 backspacing I believe.

I was curious on the conversion so I looked it up and thats how it works out (if I'm doing it right!)

6.15 is alot of backspacing for our cars, you would most likely have to run a 1/2in spacer.
