Will wonders never cease. I'm still taking a crash course in Turbocharger 101 on my '86 T-Type. There's a small fitting on the compressor side of the turbo, a pressure feed I believe... Anyhow, there's a rubber hose coming from it, it splits off into 2, and those 2 hoses go NOWHERE. They are just floating in the engine bay. I'm guessing that's bad, what do they normally connect to?

They should hook up the the boost control solenoid on the passanger valve cover. One hose leaves the solenoid and then tees off, one goes to the actuator and the other to the compressor housing. HTH

.........and I've got Kenne Bell valve covers which don't have the mounting brackets...explains why so much is just floating around under the hood. Thanks for the info, come sun-up, guess what I'll be trying to figure out under the hood!

Boost solenoid is a small square with 2 vac ports on one end and electical connector on the other. It doesn't matter which port you use and the other should remain open. The hose runs from there to the "bottom" of the "y" connector. Then a hose runs from the "straight thru" port on the "y" to the turbo. The angled port on the"y" goes to the wastegate actuator on the bottom of the turbo. Use zippy ties for safety. You will get overboost if any of these comes loose.

kinda like this: (dots needed for text alignment)

actuator....turbo
..............y.........
.....solenoid

clear as mud?

Does your car have a boost controller? Either a delta-gate turn dial or an electronic boost controller. Because if it has the delta-gate then you do not have to worry about those hoses, but you should cap the compressor and actuator. I believe you'll need them for the electronic controller.

Quite honestly I don't know just what this car has. If I see anything I can't identify I'll be taking/posting pictures.
