oil change

hello people; If you do your own OC how much do you use. I use the wix oversized filter and add the flat tappet potion. I use 6 qts. but I think it's a bit much. What do use think?

wix 51036 and good quality oil . I don't recall mine ever needing 6 quarts, I general just put in the gallon and top it up with a quart or so.

Run it a half a qt low that will help with windage

5 1/2 qts. with a Baldwin B9.

Other half goes in in about 1000 miles.

I put 5.1126 qts in then run the motor until it reaches 166.6 degrees and then I add another .387654 qts to bring it within marks on the dip stick
