OIl Cooler Adapter oil flow

I was wondering if you guys can tell me which direction the oil flows on the oil cooler.

Is the outlet cloest to the passenger fender the "oil out" line or is it the "returned oil"

[Just a Six??]

I havent used one in many years but it flows to bottom of rad & out the top.
I think?? the fender side goes to bottom & other one to top on a stock setup??
