Did a search and still unsure of correct hookup. I have a BeCool aluminum radiator. I understand pressure out of oil cooler adapter is right driver side and return line is left passenger side ( facing engine). My question - does pressure out line connect at top of radiator and return line attach at bottom or vice-versa or does it not matter?

Thanks for help.

When I was installing an external oil cooler (eliminating radiator cooler) I found this post and went the same route.
I believe he explains the flow good in this post.

Picture of cooler adapter is, as you would see it on the engine.

Fitting on right = pressure out, to the remote cooler.

Fitting on left = return from the cooler, and into the oil filter.

Center big hole = filtered oil.

The oil flow path is:
-- leave cooler adapter (right fitting), to
-- enter remote cooler [bottom fitting on stock radiator],
-- exit cooler [top fitting on stock radiator]
-- enter cooler adapter (left fitting),
-- outside ring of small holes in filter,
-- thru filter element, to
-- clean oil exits filter in center big hole.
-- to engine block

Thanks for your help. Appears previous owner had pressure out to top fitting and return line from bottom fitting of radiator. That's why I wondered if it really mattered. Logically it makes sense to me to feed from top to bottom, but I believe I read somewhere that return from the top fitting eliminates vaccum pockets in oil tank. Thanks again.
