I was just wondering if the 86/87 drain back tubes where the same as the 84/85.

The 86/87 oil drain back tube will work on the 84/85 cars with some modification. You need to cut the threaded fitting off on the end of the 86/87 return line. I used one of these on my car, and it was actually a lot easier because of its added length to pilot the oil return line into the grommet on the intake.
