I recently pulled my engine for a rebuild and removed my turbo. Not thinking about it I just brought my turbo in my house and set it in my tool room. Pick it up a few minutes ago and noticed that there was a little oil in the turbine housing and I also noticed a little in the compressor housing. Turbo has about 3k miles on it. I'm going to venture and guess the seals need to be replaced. I did pop a head gasket in 08 and coolant was in the oil pan so I'd say some coolant made its way through the turbo. Does it just sound like the seals need to be replaced? It is a TE44. Is it something that I can send back to PTE and have them do?
Thanks.
