Is it common to have a oil leak at the rear main cap? cant tell if its the main or around the cap.

I wonder if anyone has a 109 with a girdle that doesnt leak??? Why is it so hard to seal them up (girdle or no girdle)?

my car does not leak a drop (no girdle).

EDIT: 01/16/13 Car now has girdle - no leaks.

Mine never leaked more than maybe 10 drops a season with track use Until last weekend.
Either my gasket or rear main are gone as it only happens under boost & its all dry except the back of the pan.

Mine leaked for the first 100 miles then the metal shavings plugged the hole.
