I have an oil leak on the top front of my engine. It appeared to be the intake seal but I have had the intake off twice trying to seal it. Now I am thinking it may be the Cam sensor. Is it possible to leak oil from under the cam sensor?

Where else could a leak be coming from at the top front of the engine and be puddling in the center of the Timing cover???

oil leak??

Could be the turbo return line is cracked, the fitting leaking.
Also, some ft covers have an allen plug in the top of them.. leaky threads??
Cam sensor should have an o'ring on it. Check it to see if it's there or cut and leaky..

You should check that allen plug (if you have one) in the top of the front cover regardless. Mine came free and fell into the cover, busting my chain and seizing the motor. It's now being rebuilt because of that stupid little plug.

Thanks for the reply guys. I guess I am pulling the cam sensor. I didn't see an allen plug on my TC but what is it for?

Not sure. I heard something about the tap being used for attaching a different type of cam sensor cap.

Or maybe it's just a way for the TR gremlins to ruin a perfectly good motor when it falls out.
