Can I have to much oil pressure? Priming the engine with a 550 RPM Drill Motor I get 55 PSI. Wonder what this will equate to at 750-850 RPM Idle. Oil cooler lines are hooked together at this time also which I don't think will make a difference anyway? High Volume Oil Pump also.
Thanks
Tim

You can have too much oil pressure, if you are looking for the last few hundredths drop in ET. Other than that, alot of oil pressure is a good thing. You are still regulated by your pressure relief spring in your pump assembly. You will lose 1-3 psi across your cooler. As far as priming the oil with a drill, all it is doing is moving the oil, it is in no indication of what kind of oil pressure you will have......hell, if you have a big enough drill, you could make 500 psi :D Good luck with the new build.
