Just did the exhaust and downpipe yesterday. Any suggestions on what to do next? My mods are in my sig.

port your intake(free minus the cost of gaskets) and if money allows your heads as well and then maybe turbo/injectors

I'd suggest an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, an air bag, scan tool, or a 2 foot high wing to replace the stock spoiler

Definately go with the high wing spoiler and then give me your stock spoiler for free!

How fast

How fast do you want to go? Precisionte.com has the turbo and injectors you need to get that 3700lb car intot he low 11's for under $1000. The ta 49 turbo, and 37 lb delphi injectors will get you deep into the 12's, maybe even an 11. Jim testa can burn you a chip-he's "turbojim" in the forum. You best change out that ecm and harness to the 87 setup, then do the turbo, injectors, stall converter, and RACE!!!!

Good luck!

Thanks for the advise guys. I guess updating the ECM should come first, along with an adj. regulator. I want to get into the 12's without having to put on slicks or any gas above 93 or 94. I would change the turbo to a TA-49, but what needs to be changed to make it fit, as it's not a direct replacement? After the ECM, I'll change the injectors anmd chip. Ya think 50's would be overkill with my setup? I am told I also should put in an electric fan. I'm not sure what times I am doing now (see my sig for current mods), but it feels like I'm at least in the low 14's.

ta49

To run the TA49, all you have to do is re-clock the compressor housing to match that of the stock turbo. I think it has to move two holes back. I am saving up right now for the combo of 42.5's and the turbo, but my motor is in need of some serious work. With your current mods, very low 14's and even mid to high 13's should be the range you are in. The adj reg can be bought at any TR vendor for a decent price, mine is Poston. A lot of people prefer the Kenne Bell billet reg, but i think they are both close in performance. As for the ECM, you definately should get that done. Chip burners and most vendors favor that computer over the 84-85 nine times to one. After that, most of your mods will come more easy, as you can get any chip you like for what you need, without worrying if it is compatibility. Most scantools are generally 86-87 ECM favorable also. Good luck.

well you could get a T33c,
they use your stock core and mod it out
thats the best way to go if your looking for the STOCK look
the stocker is 350 cfm and the t33c is 700 cfm
limit engineering in AZ does them, highly reccomended by the turbo buick community.
i think its about $750 bucks

if you have the turbo off, theres never a better time to do the injectors, cuz i dont think u can get the fuel rail off with the turbo and heat shield in place
i run the #37 delphi injectors that poston sells
the 0304's
i think there bout $260 for 6 of them
and ya need a chip burnt for them or you could use a Thrasher for an intercooled car, if you have the ecm swap !
they are more then sufficent for that T33c.

i honestly dont know if you can go with a much bigger turbo without an intercooler,
i guess u would hafta ask some people
i just prefer the t33c , cuz i like the stock look and it is a notiiceble difference
it pulls as hard at 8 psi as it did at #15 with the stocker

My below combo got me a 13.7 with bad 60 foot times and the weak tranny. I have since rebuilt tranny, added posi and put on slicks (28 in and I think they are too tall) and added a few things, but have not gone faster. I do have some exhaust leaks and haven't got a good tune. I should be in the low 13's.
I do have a new ta49 in the garage that is going on an 87 that is getting rebuilt and looks like it is going to take awhile. If it's not that hard to put on the 84. I might have to break it in.
