ok I am getting highly frustrated at this point

I couldnt figure out why my fuel gauge wasnt working
so I dropped the tank to try and figure out what was wrong
it turns out it was a wire on the hotwire kit that wasnt plugging in

so I had the pump out
I put everything back in and now it wont start

the freaking car wont start
someone told me to fill the tank atleast halfway cause it was basically empty so I filled it
no pressure builds at the fuel rail
nothing happens
I can hear the pump priming but nothing happens
please help I am getting so frustrated the tank was falling  and **** like that and it got me so frustrated my next tool was going to be a hammer

please help

No fuel leaks under the car, right?
Did you eliminate the pulsator?
Is the sock installed properly?
If the pump is priming, it should pressurize the rails/lines. If it isn't, the fuel is going somewhere.
BTW...Don't get frustrated and angry, that's just what the car wants you to do. ;)

ok I checked
there are no fuel leaks
pulsator is gone
what is this sock everyone is talking about?
I didnt pay too much attention to whatever the sock is but whatever it is I must have put it in correctly last time

The "sock" is the white filter that pushes onto the end of the fuel pump assembly after you've assembled it into the bracket. It should be positioned to fit into a open are of the sump in the tank. I imagine if it was not positioned properly and crushed up against the side, it may not allow the pump to pull fuel and pressurize the system.
You replaced the pulsator with a length of high pressure hose...are the hose clamps tight?
If you used the RT kit, it is impossible to reverse any wiring unless you forced a connector together. You did't cut or splice any wiring, did you?

By the way, by saying "nothing happens", what do you mean?
The pump will only prime the rails for a few seconds, then kick into standby. Will the car not start, or is there a gauge on the rail that is showing no fuel pressure? If there is a gauge, is it working? Is it mounted directly to the rail, or are you using an isolator for a cabin mount?

sorry I wasnt specific that was my mistake
I think I might have found the problem but need to wait til tommorow
I think it is the sock I did put it in a different way then when I took it out
the wires are correct
the car doesnt start and there is no pressure at the rail
the gauge does work and its on the actually rail

hopefully its just the dumb sock thats the problem

thanks

Carl

Also make sure that the feed and return lines are hooked up correctly at the top of the pump assembly.
