old question i need help with slick size???

I'm trying to find out what is the biggest slick that will fit a stock frame 87 gn i have the fender lips rolled but am looking to install a set of draglites in the new year and am looking for opinions on slicks. I ran a set of 28 x 9 no problem and have a line on a set of 28 x 10.5 but think they might hit the frame I'm using a set of 15 inch centerline rims with I believe 3.5 backspacing just looking for opinions. Draglites to come next season........

Going down the same road as we speak. An 8 inch rim with a 4.5"-5" back spacing will take a 28-10.50 slick without rubbing the chassis !!!! A front 8" GTA rim that has 4.5" back spacing with 245's or 255's leaves about 1/2 of inch clearance between tire and frame!!!!!
