I need a turbo for my street car as the stocker is starting to rub on the housing. The race car has a te 44 w .85 housing and wondered if I should order a te 60 w a .63 housing and put the old te 44 w/new.63 housing on the street car and the te 60 with the old .85 housing on the race car. If any of that makes sense? Im staying with the old school turbos. Just figured if I need a turbo I would try and upgrade, would I notice the difference between the te 44 and te 60 with the .85 housing on the race car? Or are they too similar to tell? I plan on 11.50s. Also its been awhile but if I put a te 44 w/.63 housing on the street car will the lag be too much w/ a stock converter? I have a PTS 12" 2800 that I plan on putting in the street car but not sure if its any better than the stocker. Sorry about the long post. TIA Marty

Should work out fine with the converters you mentioned.

Should be 0 lag with a PTS 2800 stall and a TE44, they work fine with a stocker.

It sounds like a reasonable plan for old school turbos.

Great, but what about the difference between a 60 and a 44? Is there enough that I should change it out? In my opinion there is not but I am not the wisest. lol. 58 mm wheel compared to 59mm and the hp ratings are within 15 hp. Just want to get it right I guess. Thanks
