Just bought an older model Casper's thumbwheel chip. Settings are 0 thru 7. I know that 0 is anti-theft and I know that setting 1 is not valet because it will definitley go faster than 65mph. Anybody know what settings 1 thru 7 are? Thanks, R.B.
P.S. Do the higher settings automatically increase boost or do you have to still adjust wastegate rod?

I think setting #3 is stock and boost and/or timing increase
as the #s go up. I have that chip and the paperwork on it.
I will list tomorrow for you, i have to get it from my shop.:)

Not sure what you mean by "old", but this is likely the settings:

2-7 = fuel recurve, red line @ 6,000; 4-7 = forced lock-up

Specifics:

2 = 20 degrees, simulates stock setup

3 = 18
4 = 20
5 = 22
6 = 24
7 = 26

Hey Mark, thanks a lot. I was just reading your thread about your miss at higher boost and whatnot. Mine does the exact same thing. I also have the translator and lt-1 maf. However my settings are already on-on-on-off and I still have the problem. Any suggestions? How is yours running now? Mine is driving me crazy!!!!!!! Thanks, R.B.

Sorry....went to bed. :)

After setting the translator correctly, I was able to go from a best of 13.1 to a "untuned" best of 12.4 @ 107....et's improved big time, and never had a miss again!

I could only get a 1.9 60'...otherwise, it was all over the place. I had t-link, but the laptop was acting up and then died = no data to work with on 5 runs.

So, I'm pretty happy to say the least :D

I'm not sure if it will make a difference, but is the translator set for your MAF (base @ 3)? Mine acted totally different with just the dip switch, so I don't know if that will do anything, but worth a try.

Otherwise, that thread pretty much sums up a big headache and about every area you could check to solve the problem.

If not, i will post it here if you still need it.

WALLYP, R. B.'s at work right now but you can fax it to him there. His fax number is 972-427-3816. Thanks.

Could someone explain to me how the boost increases by changing the settings from 1 thru 7? Do you still leave the wastegate rod set at the original stock setting? Confused.

so you still have to increase boost with the adjustable wastegate rod, right? Just because you set it to the 7 position doesn't mean it automatically goes to 19 lbs of boost does it?

When you change settings does the boost increase or decrease while you're looking at the boost gauge?
