I would be interested in either and or both engine set-ups, the 425 and the 455. How much are you each asking for them?? you can reach me (kevin) onmy cell phone most anytime, 651-336-2419. i am in st paul, mn but am willing to travel a bit. let me know what youre thinking. thanks for everyone getting back to me so quick.
I have done a little more research and have decided the best way for me to go is with a 403 engine. I am in very bad need of a complete engine assembled or disassembled. Let me know if anyone can help me out. Thanks.

If you have a sbo and decide on the 425 or 455 you will need the brackets for that engine. I ran a 403 in my 79 t/a. I put #7 heads on and raised the c/r to about 9/1 or so. I ran a mild cam with an edlebrock performer manifold and the stock q/jet. With a good exhaust/headers and 3.42 gears I ran a 13.4 on a terrible build. It was built by Golens which was a bad mistake. They screwed it up and it self destructed in less than 2 years, they wouldn't admit they fubared it. Had it rebuilt again by a small shop that knew the Olds engine and it was even better. I sold the car after I drove my friends GN and decided turbos are much more interesting.
