Open dump pipe

Just put my dump pipe on and aboslutely love it!!!!! sound slike a V8 at idle, and god knows what when the turbo kicks in!!! Just wondering, anyone else have trouble finding ppeople to race when its open....? Noone seems to want to mess with a GN that sounds like a 454 big block. Just my experiecne though. Im sure it would sound even better with one of those houston 3" downpipes........

I just drove mine with the dump open last night.
Not sure if it sounds like a big block, but it does sound pretty distinct and people do tend to turn their heads to see what's comin'!

Look into one of those electric exhaust cut outs. That way you can get someone to race you, and right before you leave the line, then you can open it up, and look at the terror in their face.

I've been driving around with an open dump for a week now and I'm about to invest in some earplugs. Honostly, It has made me want an electric cutout even more. If it's as good as Marks cold air kits then I'm sure I'll like it..

Well no inspections here so I could care less as long as it was quite enough to hear the radio and carry on a conversation. I don't even think Mark claims a 100% seal but he does say his kits seal good. They look like a higher quality than the cable ones I've seen. Then again, how hard is it to unbolt 3 bolts?

Raced my roomate in his Fox Body Stang last night in the GN, open exhaust, pump gas.........he happened to be on the passenger side of me.......after I pulled a few cars on him, we slowed down, and he said......."gawd damn, that thing is LOUD at WOT!"

To me, it sounds more like a UPS truck than a big block. But then I like the sound of the UPS truck.
