overboosting and pinging

My 85 t type is still overboosting and pinging during W.O.T.
I have a aftermarket boost gauge coming in the mail, and I also have a upgraded fuel pump, 93 chip, and a cold air intake similar to the one on gnttype.com. I have changed most of the vacuum lines and can't get the boost to drop. Could my stock wastegate be causing any of this?

the ping is knock, so stay out of the throttle until you get it taken care of. Knock is a kwik way to buy a new set of headgaskets.

mine was overboosting a few days ago... turns out my vac hoses had become disconnected from the wastegate.

since youve replaced most of your hoses this probably isnt your issue, though, i would double check just in case!
