Hey, you replied to one of my threads about getting a street/strip trans from Cottons. Just wanted to know if you know how long would it take Cottons to install it? I'm asking becuase I've heard that they're a small shop. Thanks

Kevin

i have his trannies in both cars. they are built by Eric Schertz of dyno tech performance. i have not had a single problem with either. one is the street/strip l/u tranny (975.00) the other is a balls to the wall non l/u race tranny (1500.00) i usually call ahead, make sure ones at the shop, if not place an order, then make a day to travel down to the shop. if your lucky he'll do it right then and there, sometimes hes busy and he'll want you to leave the car. theres a good thread on his forum in the tranny section called "cotton's trannies". be sure to call him before you head down to his shop.http://cotton.phpwebhosting.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=49

Thanks Matt87. I'm considering purchasing an 87 Gn at the moment, and the owner said the clutches needed to be replaced. So I was figuring I might as well just replace the whole thing and start from sqare one to avoid problems. At least I know there's a chance I can get it done rather quickly. Thanks for the input.

Kevin, everything that Matt said is absolutely correct. The best thing to do is call and make an appointment for a day when he will be able to do it all in one day. Even if you have to wait a couple of weeks its better than having to leave your car.
